The potatoes constitute an important part of the household economy in the Kelmen zone, as they use them for many of their needs mainly in the winter when they get isolated for months. The potatoes are boiled or roasted in the fire. Often, to keep them fresh, they buried in the ground in the pits they used to wear with rye ears.
