On the mountain Bjelasica, along the border with the National Park Biogradska Gora, at 1800 meters above sea level, is located the first Eco Village in Montenegro - Eco Katun Vranjak. Eco-Katun was created on the basis of the tradition and life of the Montenegrin Gorstak (Highlander) centuries back to the present day. Organic food is produced at Eco Katun on its own farm. In Katun, tourists will have the opportunity to try some of the forgotten National Specialties. Here you can rent mountain horses and ride to the nearby peaks of the National Park, see how the old-fashioned wool is crossed, listen to the sounds of ghouls at will, or play a mountain match in small football on a plateau below the katun. If you do not know how to ride a horse, you have the opportunity to go through a riding school, and if you do not want to do so, you will have a mountain bike available. Here you have the opportunity to participate in rural - Katun activities: collecting and splitting wood, milking cows, producing Kolasin leaf cheese and kajmak, preparing specialties of national cuisine. Some of the specialties of national cuisine that Eko Katun has to offer: Kolašin kachamak in two ways, cicvara, steamed lamb and stew, lamb on a skewer, homemade barbecue sausage, cheese, cream, sour milk and more. The menu also includes forest products: forest fruits, mushrooms and a large number of teas as well as homemade juices, all kinds of home-made brandy, honey, dairy products and meat.
