Evia consists of the Dirfis mountain range, Ochi mountain, Zarakas mountain and Kandili mountain, some of which are known for their vegetation.
The vegetation of Mount Dirfis is unique. It consists of extensive forests, Abies cephalonica, oaks, chestnuts and pines, which combine with Mediterranean macaques, pine forests, lowland gargles and alpine vegetation on peaks. Large nets, maples and poplars grow in streams.
Mount Ochi, due to the abundance of surface water, has created an unusual ecosystem. At a great height, on the eastern side of the mountain, survives the last clear forest with chestnut trees in Evia, the remnants of the great forests that once covered the whole of Ochi.
