FERRARESE COUPLE

The Couple was born as a symbol of an entire culture, at a time when humanism allowed to overcome the rules of pure survival to indulge in the pleasure of aesthetics. A central body and two rolled-up croutons that end in pointy, light, fragrant: a true work of art of the table that boasts countless attempts at imitation. Attempts without success, because they lack the keys to its secret: the wisdom of a centuries-old tradition, the quality of ingredients and water, the yeast environment, its humidity and the ideal temperatures of the ovens and, finally, the hands of the bakers skilled and able to give life to flour and water. It is unlikely to walk early in the morning on the streets of Ferrara without being hit by a pleasant scent, impossible to resist the temptation to enter an oven and taste the fragrance of the couple.
