SALINA DI COMACCHIO - SALE

Comacchio Salina is a particularly protected area of the Delta del Po Park, suggestive, complex and delicate. Despite being an artificial environment, born and made by man for the production of salt, today, abandoned production for 30 years, it is populated by numerous species of birds, some even nesting and rare. It is a precious treasure chest, custodian of testimonies of a distant and recent past, where you can still perceive the vastness of the valleys, the hard work of the salt towns and where you immerse yourself in a enchanting nature. The salt trail is accessible to everyone and offers the opportunity to observe the birdlife, the work of the volunteer salt saline in the teaching salt, the Red Tower, the exhibition hall and the opportunity to participate in the scientific workshops for schoolchildren and families in the classroom. The Salina can only be visited with the accompaniment of authorized guides, on set days and times or by reservation. There will be animation events and initiatives open to the public
