With the arrival of spring in Dalmatia, locals are becoming more and more interested in the hobby of picking asparagus. With the sun and rising temperatures, it is becoming an increasingly popular pastime. Tourists also showed great interest in that. Unlike garden, cultivated, wild ones are thinner in appearance, much more intense in taste and healthier. We can find them in the karst, at the edges of the forest, in the fields. Burnt and cleared areas where other weeds did not have the opportunity to occupy all the space suit them very well. Recently, special asparagus picking routes have been organized in Croatia for tourists from all over the world. And after picking, the sweetest part follows, tasting this specialty.
