Botanical Garden Velemun

Velmun Botanical Garden is named after the extremely decorative Velemun plant belonging to the lincura family. It is located in the area of Brezojevica municipality, 2 km north of Plav, under Mount Visitor. Among the many species that grow here there are species that can only be found in these parts. There are even some plant species that are not yet fully classified. Therefore, this botanical garden is a place where you can get acquainted with the plant life that is specific to the area of Prokletije National Park. There are more than 350 plant species of this area in the Botanical Garden area. Among the numerous species that grow in our area are plant species that are not yet fully classified. In the garden grow moths, Blečić's vulfenia, peony. The medical plant Ginko biloba, whose natural habitat is southeastern China, has been successfully cultivated in botanical gardens and has found its place in this botanical garden as well.
