On the south west of the island near the village Dragove, is located Veli žal beach. This is a renown beach with sand and round stones and exceptionally gorgeous blue green sea. Opposite the beach is a little island Mežanj, 100m away from the shore. As the beach faces the open sea, it is also known for its unforgettable sunsets disappearing in the sea.
