Šmartno village

The village is like an old fortress, located in the geographical center of Brda. Gradnik, the local poet, compares the village to the eagles nest in a place where the view stretches from Nanos hill in the east to the Carnija Alps in the northwest and from Furlanija in the Adriatic Sea.
