Lido di Spina is a hamlet of the Italian municipality of Comacchio and a popular seaside resort in the province of Ferrara. It belongs to the area of the seven Lidi of Comacchio. Famous fish and meat restaurants active for decades, pizzerias, pizzerias and all the necessary services are present in Spina.
It is the southernmost lido of Comacchio's sects and boasts one of the longest beach on the Riviera, with fine beige sand. It owes its name to the ancient Etruscan port city of Spina, which once stood just to the north, in the territory of the Po Delta.
At the far south of the territory of Lido di Spina begins the Bellocchio Vein Nature Reserve, a site of high environmental diversity that houses a system of sand dunes adjacent to the mouth of the Rhine River, freshwater and brackish wetlands, pine forests, bushes and wood of tamarisks and olive trees.
In recent years, it has become one of the main tourist attractions of the short coast of Emilia thanks to the enormous efforts of the operators and many of the trendiest clubs on the Riviera that every evening attract thousands of young people from Emilia. At the same time, it is a place to spend quiet hours in a family-friendly setting, enjoying the centuries-old pine forest.
