The main role of the Botanical Garden is to preserve the variety of flora, that is, to preserve the biodiversity. It extends across the surface of over 18 acres. There are several zones in the garden in which are planted different species from Asia, Europe and Balkans. There are information boards in every zone and in front of plants there are nametags and origin info. There is also a labyrinth that contributes to the richness of the Botanical garden, that’s currently under construction, and that’s made of our indigenous species. The Serbian (Panciceva) spruce, our local endemic specie, can be found there, as well. At the entrance to the Botanical garden, there’s an area where scouts’ camps and different manifestations are taking place, for education and entertainment.
