Black Lake is located in the municipality of Zabljak, in northern Montenegro. It is a glacial lake located on Durmitor Mountain, at an altitude of 1416m. Black Lake is the most famous tourist attraction of Durmitor area. It is the largest and most famous of all 18 glacial lakes on the mountain. The lake is accessible and can be reached on foot from the center of Zabljak. The 3.5 km hiking trail is located around the lake, making it a popular recreational destination.
