Steni is a picturesque mountain village in Evia. It is located on Mount Dirfis, in a beautiful landscape, with Platanus, Castanea, black fir and running waters. In the central square with the fountains, there are coffee shops and traditional taverns under the Platanus. Just outside the village, a market is organized by the women of Steni and the surrounding villages, where the visitor can buy herbs, dairy, honey, trahana and chylopita. The village has taverns, which are popular for their famous grilled meats and skewers, pies, rabbit, spaghetti roast, cheese and wild mushrooms.
