The tomb of Eros is located on the hill northwest of Eretria and is one of the important monuments of the area. Based on his findings, it is dated to the end of the 4th century. The Tomb of Eros consists of a chamber and has a road made of stones and bricks. The funeral chamber looks quite like a living room. During his excavation two stone thrones were found, with painting and relief decoration. In the back of the chamber there were two marble carnivores in the shape of a bed. The inside of the tomb was found broken. Among the findings, which are currently on display at the New York Metropolitan Museum, are bronze vessels and clay statues of Eron, from which the tomb was named after the convent. The monument was excavated in 1897 and is now in good condition, with interventions being carried out when necessary. The Macedonian Tomb is located on a hill, 2 km north of Eretria.
